Our vintage neon sign has been hanging over our establishment for over 60 years. Our commitment to quality eyewear and professional service, like our sign, hasn't changed over the years either. It is also a landmark icon in the Delaware County area.

Our Billiard Glasses Story

Over 15+ years ago, a local customer came into our office because he was aware of the custom work that we did for him for his dress eyewear. Being passionate in the billiard game and being a respected player in the community, he wanted something that would allow him to see the balls clearly on the table, since his current dress pair was not allowing him to do so. Based on the information he provided us on the aspects of the game, and the fundamentals on how players shoot (since none of us at Curran Opticians are serious billiard players).
We came up with several concept designs for our customer to test and provide us with additional feedback. A few changes later we had a breakthrough!!
Our Customer was thrilled with our new concept billiard glasses design. As time went on, we started to fabricate more and more billiard glasses to players in our community once word got out to other players in the area that we had a product that would help with their game.

My Son, Adam, joined the business in 2011. One of his first tasks was to design a website just for billiards and take our billiard business to a national level and then global. Since then, we've been featured in several publications and have both amateurs and professionals worldwide wearing our billiard glasses design!
